A practicing attorney for over 20 years, David has been a Prosecutor, Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan, and counsel for municipalities, commercial entities and individuals. David has developed a sterling reputation for his skill and acumen as a legal practitioner.
David specializes in complex commercial litigation, government affairs, municipal and administrative law. His professional background includes extensive sales and negotiating experience, negotiating labor disputes, contracts and collective bargaining agreements. David has represented hundreds of clients successfully in trials, arbitrations, hearings and commercial transactions. As a municipal law practitioner, David serves as corporation counsel for several municipalities in and around Metropolitan Detroit. As a Certified Player Representative for the National Football League, David not only negotiates multimillion-dollar contracts on his clients’ behalf, he also represents them in arbitrations and employment disputes.
David is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the courts of the State of Michigan. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the National Bar Association.
A Corporation Finance major at Wayne State University in Detroit, David received his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Active in his community, David is a former high school and NCAA Collegiate basketball official. He is a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Incorporated, Inc., appointed by the mayor of the City of Detroit, he is a Board of Director for the Detroit Board of Ethics and a former Board of Director of the Public Lighting Authority. Appointed by Michigan Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, David currently sits as a Commissioner on the board of the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission; which was created as a result of efforts to improve legal representation for indigent criminal defendants.
